FOTD: Everyday Look #3

January 15th, 2009

Hello d0rkstars :)

I apologize yet again for the lack of updates. I have been so busy lately. Just a few days ago I came back home from visiting family in California. Now that I’m back, my life has been hectic due to school. I will try to do more makeup videos. Anyone want me to do a makeup look or hairstyles please send me some requests to info@d0rksta.com. I still have requests I had yet to do, but I will do them eventually (I’m not making any promises)… maybe on the weekends since I don’t have school those days, but I will do them!

Anyway here’s a look that I’ve been sporting for the past month — and yes, I have so many “everyday looks,” but this one has gotta be my fave! I love this look. I don’t like to wear color that much anymore, so this look goes great with everything! (: Enjoy!

Tutorial: Sweet Liason Eyes

October 4th, 2008

Here’s a look with using the new Eyeshadow Suite in “Sweet Liason” from the Suite Array collection that came out last week. I really love the e/s I got because it’s so pretty. Even though I don’t like shimmery stuff on my eyes, it look so pretty just wearing it! I was suppose to apply UDPP before the Laura Geller Eye Spackle Primer, but I forgot. But the primer is actually really good! It does not crease nor fade on me all day! So it’s my second love after UDPP (:

Sorry about the quality of the video. I used my cousin’s MACbook to try it out. I guess I should stick with my digital camera for now.

Tutorial: Smokey Back To School Look

September 1st, 2008

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a makeup tutorial so I thought I’d make a back to school look! I think the UDPP makes it harder for my eyeshadows to blend ): I want to try out Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance! (: You could also use a brown eyeliner for your upper lashline and waterline to make it more natural, but since I don’t have them I just use the basic black eyeliner.

Sorry for the weird angle. The last time I recorded a video, I was doing my right eye but it was left-angled and now that I did it on my left eye, it’s right-angled! So complicated! I wish I have a camcorder so I could monitor myself!! /:

FOTD: Neutral Eyes w/ Pop of Color

July 31st, 2008

I wouldn’t think that my site would be back today but yeah, glad it’s back so I could post up more looks and tutorials! I did this look a few days ago and I loved it! “Submarine” is such a pretty color on the lower lashline.

FOTD: Using “Sc-Fi-Delity” Lipstick

June 12th, 2008

I wanted to use my “Sci-Fi-Delity” l/s from the Neo Sci-Fi collection so here it is! I made the eyes neutral because I wanted to focus on the lips. But I think it looks too weird because it’s not like a bold lipstick. Hope you ladies think it looks nice though!

FOTD: Neutral Eyes w/ Pop of Color

December 21st, 2007

The other day I went shopping with a friend and of course, I had to stop by MAC. I checked out the MAC Originals collection, but I couldn’t buy anything because I wanted the eyeshadow in “Post Haste” since I’ve been eyeing it for awhile. But they ran out the refills and the ones in the pots. So I had to go to Nordstrom and luckily they had it.

For my eyes that day I decided to go with a natural look with a pop of color. The eyeliner pencil I used wasn’t as vibrant as I wanted it to be and a lot of glitter came out from it.

Tutorial: Day to Night Transition

October 25th, 2007

Here is my tutorial for a day to night transition. A natural look in the daytime for going to school or out to lunch with friends and for nightime, a dramatic look when you’re heading to a party and you’re too lazy to shower and fix your face all over again. So hopefully this tutorial will help you because black and brown e/s looks great together!
